from the “You Never Know” department

opportunity knocks nametag

Had a meeting with a bookstore owner the other day in New Castle, DE. Before the meeting I popped into a Walgreens to get some bottled water. Set a copy of my “Delaware Before the Railroads” book on the counter while I got out my wallet to pay.

Turns out the clerk is doing archeology grad work at the University of Delaware and was extremely interested in my book. He pulled out this book from below the counter and heartily recommended it to me.

I think he would have talked with me a lot more, except his supervisor was hovering. So we had to cut it short.

I love these kinds of little random connections!
